A Visit with Maria

MariaMaria’s a bit of a mystery. She invited us over for tea and fish fritters the other day, and really let down her hair (except for a few questions!). She can hardly wait to see Zoom and the Captain again at the Shenkman Arts Centre, Sunday October 21 at 1:30 and 3:30.

What do you do?
I transform my house.

What colour are your pyjamas?
I’d rather not say.

What’s your favourite bedtime story?
Goodnight Moon.

What do you have for breakfast?
Seaweed salad.

Where would you most like to go on holidays?
Barcelona.

When did your first big adventure start?
When I first met the Captain.

Where did it take you?
He took me to Casa Batlló in Spain!

Why did you get involved?
I loved it.

How did you know that your life had changed forever?
There were birds in all the pots in my house.

What three things would you bring to a deserted island?
Zoom, Captain Roy and tea things.

Who would you most like to get stuck in an elevator with?
Captain Jack Sparrow.

What’s one thing you don’t like?
When people try to grab my silky fabrics.

Do you have a catch phrase?
There’s no time to lose!

Do you have any bad habits?
Sometimes I fall asleep in front of the fire.

What scares you?
Looking back on my life and wondering if there was anything I didn’t do because I was scared.
